1. Relationship to Our HIPAA Notice
This policy applies primarily to information collected through our public website and other nonclinical online interactions. It does not replace our Notice of Privacy Practices. When information is protected health information ("PHI") under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ("HIPAA"), our Notice of Privacy Practices governs how that information may be used and disclosed. If this policy conflicts with the Notice of Privacy Practices regarding PHI, the Notice of Privacy Practices controls.

4. Service Providers and Disclosures
We may share information with vendors that help us operate the practice and website, such as Wix for website hosting, Elation Health and Patient Passport for electronic health record and patient portal services, Stripe or another authorized processor for payments, Spruce or another approved communications provider, and laboratories, pharmacies, imaging centers, consultants, or referral providers involved in care. The providers actually used may change. We limit disclosures to information reasonably necessary for the relevant function and use business associate agreements when HIPAA requires them.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to protect health or safety, to investigate fraud or security incidents, in connection with a business reorganization or transfer subject to applicable confidentiality duties, or with your direction or authorization. We do not sell PHI. We do not use or disclose PHI for marketing when HIPAA requires your written authorization.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
Our public website may use essential cookies and limited analytics technologies to support basic operation, security, performance, and aggregate traffic measurement. You may be able to control nonessential cookies through browser settings or a cookie preference tool, if offered.
We do not intend to place advertising pixels or session-replay technologies on authenticated patient portals, clinical intake forms, payment pages, or other areas designed to receive PHI. We do not intentionally send diagnoses, symptoms, appointment reasons, treatment details, or other PHI to advertising platforms. Third-party patient portal and payment pages may apply their own essential security and operational technologies under their own terms.
6. Communications
Ordinary email and text messaging may not be secure. Use Elation Patient Passport or another secure channel we identify for clinical information. If you give us a telephone number or email address, we may use it for appointment and administrative communications consistent with your choices and applicable law. Message and data rates may apply. You may request a different reasonable communication method by contacting us, although certain service-related communications may still be necessary.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No website, electronic transmission, or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we determine that a reportable breach occurred, we will provide notices as required by HIPAA, the Florida Information Protection Act of 2014, including Florida Statutes section 501.171, and other applicable law.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to provide services, meet medical-record, tax, accounting, licensing, contractual, and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by record type. We dispose of information using reasonable safeguards when it is no longer required.
9. Your Privacy Choices
You may ask us to update nonclinical contact information, change communication preferences, or answer questions about this policy. Rights concerning medical records and PHI are described in our Notice of Privacy Practices. Depending on applicable law and the nature of the information, some requests may be limited by recordkeeping, fraud-prevention, legal, or clinical obligations.

We do not knowingly collect personal information through the public website from a child for the purpose of providing care.
11. Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website may link to services operated by third parties. Their privacy and security practices are governed by their own notices and terms. A link does not mean that we control or endorse every aspect of the third party's services.
12. Emergency and Crisis Situations
Do not use the website, email, portal, or appointment-request tools for an emergency. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. For a mental health, suicide, or substance-use crisis, call or text 988.
